These photos were shot at Somerset House when the pavements were blistered with ice and the stone buildings glistened in the paling daylight. I love the architecture around this area it is so great and imposing and serves as a great frame to the pretty ice rink, it is one of the nicest places to be around Christmas time. December is also that month for weekly parties teeming with the cinnamon vapours of mulled wine and sugar crumbs from mince pies. It is such fun choosing what to wear after slowly gathering together party attire that finally has opportunity to be debuted. The dress I am wearing is one of those relies on structure to make a statement, I think that taking care of what is worn beneath is equally important to making the best out of the outfit. A corset, jeweled belt and some elbow length gloves were key to bringing together this Christmas look. I chose to keep warm with a shearling jacket which I think gives the outfit a different kind of elegance, one that is imbued with a sense of ease and comfort.
