A Peek of Peplum
This is a shot I took ages ago of my outfit before I went out. Thought I would share it before the peplum craze dies out!

Barbie Tweed
Whenever I feel like there needs to be more 'summer' I wear my pink sunglasses. Sometimes I like to take inspiration from the ultimate blonde fashion icon, Barbie. The colourful mix of tweed reminds me of my doll's dress-up box filled with bright floral prints and vintage inspired pieces. To make the outfit a bit more 'everyday', I brought out my Louis Vuitton bag and slipped on some Converse, both classics in their own right.

Champagne Summer
The weather has been incredible this week, it almost makes me feel better about missing out on my family holiday in Singapore. I had my haircut today at Hari's on the King's Road and I absolutely love it but the straightness is definitely something I have to become reacquainted with- it's really freaking me out, I haven't seen myself without curls for 3 years! I spent the day eating amazing ice lollies and browsing the incredible home- ware stores in the area. It is so peaceful, everyone is so polite and it always seems to be sunny there that it is hard to believe that I am actually in London. This outfit reminds me of champagne because of the golden and nude tones, especially the sheer top which I have layered over a silk daisy print vest gives it that sparkling element that you get from the bubbles.

Collar Pop
This is a really quick post to show part of my new Rugby uniform for fall! I love the double collar pop option when I am wearing the blazer and Oxford shirt, the silk band beneath is such a surprising and unique twist. To add a different edge to my look I wore my black baggy leather shorts that look a bit like gym shorts, it seems to fit in with the preppy vibe but toughens it up a little. I will definitely feature the blazer again, it is such a great staple to have and it is one of those pieces that transforms your outfit and makes you feel like you have made some effort (even when you really have not). I took these photos while walking around Marylebone again. I just love the architecture and how the sun always manages to find a resting place among the white and sand- coloured stone buildings.

See more from the party on my friend Magda's tumblr!
Notting Hill
I spent today walking around Notting Hill and it always reminds me how much I love the area and how beautiful it is in the summer. Although I missed the morning market, I managed to grab a pound of huge black-red cherries, took shelter under a tree and ate them whilst it rained. When the sun came out again, little silk worms dangled from branches and swayed about like swings at a carnival.
I layered up with my feather gilet over a tweed biker jacket and a cashmere crop jumper, shedding and replacing according to London's temperamental weather. As for accessories, I wore my two newest necklaces, a sparkling rose gold peace sign and a rhinestone one from Zara.

Everyday
I admit that sometimes I dress up a bit more for blog photos, I could never spend an entire day in heels on the cobbled streets! However this outfit is what I would usually wear out when I meet up with friends. It is really simple but I like mixing up textures, floating chiffon with leather and studs. I'm also wearing my favourite new earrings and a beautiful Hermes wrap bracelet!

Lavender
Another simple outfit post, sans le sac because I don't love carrying bags around, especially in the summer, and I always seem to be able to find someone else's bag or pocket to keep my essentials. My dress is really old and I have altered the hem so it has a bubble effect. I don't really wear purple so I have decided this is more of a 'lavender' hue. For this outfit I had my makeup done for me and I really like the winged effect with the eye shadow, I will try it out more often because sometimes liquid liner can look too harsh.

This one made me laugh because it looks like a car advert.

Primadonna
I was doing my routine 'wardrobe curation' a.k.a throwing things out, and I came across this skirt I bought in Shanghai about two years ago. I think I had only worn it once but I have kept it because of the lovely print of 1920's ladies. To turn it into a top I deconstructed, pinned then sewed the pieces together to create something unique to my current wardrobe.

Contrast
These photos are taken from a collection by Alex Stewart. They are pretty crazy, the contrast between the luxe gold and jewels with the appliances that we found dumped on the street made for an interesting shoot. The makeup was quite strange to wear, a lot bolder than the Givenchy sequin look I tried earlier this year. I had little gold chains strung across my eyes that draped over my cheeks and ears. Alex named these 'Don't you recgonise me?' because I really did not look like myself after the makeup transformation!
