Lately I've been spotting a lot of sheer shoes from perspex modern Cinderella heels to mesh shell- like cases for feet. The most delicate and timeless is most likely to be those made of lace as there is nothing more disappointing than falling in love with something that you can only wear occasionally, or something that you decide that you hate a few weeks later. Valentino had some really sweet lace knee- high boots in the Autumn/ Winter that The Cherry Blossom Girl wore here. Now there are the Summer versions that are just as pretty and even more practical, breathable and true to the romantic Valentino aesthetic.
I know I have persistently tried to enforce the arrival of Spring by dressing for warmer, brighter weather and I have to admit that it has not been working. London is as unpredictable and cold as usual. The outfit I am wearing is part of my Rugby uniform, (I got a job at my favourite clothes store, I know)which I actually got to choose myself! I love their philosophy of layers and mixing textures which is what I've done with the translucent lace, wool waistcoat and cable knit cardigan. I bought my skirt a long time ago but just had not had the chance to wear it. I love the little studs that remind me of Valentino. This is just a quick post to remind myself and everyone that I have not abandoned my blog, so sorry there are no shots of my shoes, (I was wearing tan Mulberry heels).
