MAXI TROUSERS.       It is quite a strange feeling when you wear something that you have never owned before. Generally I am not a fan of 'maxi' things, it makes me feel pregnant which is really awkward because I don't go soft and broody over other people's children, instead I coo over their dogs. Covering too much skin makes me feel as if I live in an oppressive country and without exposure to fresh air and sunlight my body will shrink. All of these irrational anxieties are irrelevant with my snakeskin- print maxi trousers because of my favourite part of them, that they are sheer. I think it is such a clever and surprising design detail that is quite rare to find on the high street. Usually I would wear something quite nude and neutral, keeping the palette as cool as possible. Today I felt like giving my typical approach a little twist with a big statement necklace and my feathery gilet, as there is still that pestering chill in the air in spite of the abundant sunshine.
