Dark Nostalgia

LYRICAL IMAGES.     My friends and I were just thinking about how quickly time has passed in that old lady way, sitting in French coffee shops and worrying about what will happen after graduation. It made us wish for our old school days when every week dragged on and the weekends and holidays seemed like a blissful blessing. As it appears, it is quite easy to see the present as mundane instead of recognizing the microcosmic events that are occurring everyday that build the imposing, mysterious and terrifying concept that is The Future. When I think of a few years back the song 'Strange and Beautiful' by Aqualung was played on a loop in those hazy, dense and misty winter days. The words are poetic and visual which incites that nostalgic sentiment that can make your heart race or lull you into a bittersweet dream- like state.
