PEGGY HARTANTO

PEGGY HARTANTO

The jumpsuit. The evolution of the dress into a more practical article of clothing, with the exception of when you need to pee. When I was approached to pick out something from Peggy Hartanto’s S/S look book, I was taken by the Indonesian designer’s eye for clean, contemporary cuts that have a sense of Australian minimalism. I’d wear this jumpsuit to a summer party, swapping the platform shoes for a simple pair of black leather sandals. But when adding a chunky heel to it, I’m most drawn to the wide leg, cropped silhouette that isn’t going anywhere for fall, and it’s also what elevates this piece without making it too dressy.
